About me:
Two tracks, one person: a Senior Software Engineer at EY Technology Consulting, and a microbiologist with 7 years in laboratories, food quality control and organic certification. I never traded one for the other, I just kept adding.
On the software side: full-stack React, Next.js, Node.js and Express, with 4 years across component architecture, REST APIs, accessibility, testing and AWS-backed production deployments.
On the science side: a master's in microbiology with published research, laboratory work on microbial analysis of water and soil, then quality control and HACCP validation in industry, and 5 years in organic certification as a Certification Decision Officer. Standards and regulations are home ground for me.
The two sides feed each other: science gave me the method, certification gave me the rigor, code gave me the joy of building.

Senior Software Engineer
EY Technology Consulting
- Full-stack development across e-commerce, CMS-integrated, and mobile platforms using React, Next.js, Node.js, and Express.
- Build and integrate Node.js and Express REST APIs end to end, from route and middleware design through the React clients that consume them.
- Built and shipped a hybrid mobile app with Ionic, from native-feeling features through APK build and deployment.
- Prototyped a React integration with Adobe Experience Manager.
- Work with AI coding agents day to day, Claude Code, Factory AI, and GitLab Duo, across scaffolding, refactors, and review on merge requests.
- Own accessibility, CI/CD, and AWS-backed production deployments; lead web analytics and A/B testing.
- Step into scrum master and project management duties as needed.
Senior Certification Decision Officer
Ecocert Group
- Issued the final, binding decision on whether a product could be sold as organic, under EU (EC 834/2007 equivalent standard), USDA NOP, and Serbian ZOP regulation.
- Reviewed third-party inspection reports and evaluated findings against the applicable standard before each decision.
- Worked inside an ISO/IEC 17065 accredited system, where the certification decision is made separately from the inspection.
- Defended certification files and decisions during USDA NOP accreditation audits and COFRAC assessments.
- Handled certification and export control for operators across several countries in Europe and Asia.
Microbiologist, HACCP validation lead

- Led the HACCP validation team at the plant.
- Carried out microbiological validation across various production areas.

- Microbial analysis of water by classical cultivation methods: total heterotrophic and oligotrophic bacteria, fecal coliforms, enterococci and E. coli by IDEXX.
- Microbiological analysis of groundwater using BART testers.
- Accreditation tasks for the national accreditation body, and determination of chlorophyll a and pheophytin concentrations.
Microbiologist (internship)
Institute for Field and Vegetable Crops
- Tested the validity of bacterial strains for the microbial fertiliser Nitragin before release.
- Assessed soil microbial populations, including oligonitrophiles, Azotobacter, ammonifiers, actinomycetes and soil fungi, and determined dehydrogenase activity.
- Co-authored published research on soil microbial activity under conventional and organic production.
